The Open System Group offers its web hosting service to official University of Florida entities. This service includes a virtual host for your site and access to several of our web related technologies.

Features

Virtual Host

Your website will be accessible at http://orgname.ufl.edu where 'orgname' is the name of your organization.

Web Technologies

As part of the web hosting service you will have access to complemetary web technologies. These include CGI processing, a J2EE application server, and database services.

Data Security

As its stewards, OSG will insure your data through regular backup and storage procedures.

Infrastructure

Our web cluster runs the Apache web server on IBM AIX.

Cost

The price of this service is based on the standard CNS charging algorithm for the amount of disk space your data occupies and the processing time that your CGI transactions consume. There is also a flat $100 annual maintenance fee associated with this service.
