Novell Client Installation

Obtain the latest Novell client from http://download.novell.com. There is also a copy located in S:\PC Support\novell client\.

Extract the archive to a directory of your choice. I will use C:\temp\ as an example for these instructions.

Navigate to C:\temp\Novell\English\WINNT\i386\ and run setupnw.exe with Administrator privileges.

Choose Custom Install and click Next. Check Novell Client for Windows and Novell Distributed Print Services then select Next.

Check Novell Modular Authentation Service (NMAS), uncheck NetIdentity Agent and select Next.

Select IP Only, check Remove IPX if present and click Next.

Select NDS (Netware 4.x or later), Next, then Finish. Once the installation is complete reboot.

When the Novell client login appears, select Advanced. For Novell Netware usage at Computing and Networking Services, the tree should be set to UFL, the Context to nerdc.aa.ufl, and Server to wallaby.nerdc.ufl.edu. Enter in the username and password provided by your Novell Administrator. For CNS, contact Open-Systems to request a Novell account.
